On Saturday 21 March, 90 volunteers gathered in Pocomoke City area to search for a local woman who had disappeared in November 2007.   The effort, requested by the missing person's family, searched more than 67 acres of fields, woods and swamp.

The search was coordinated by the Flatland Search and Rescue Team and included citizens from the local community.  1st Lt David  Argentieri, Wicomico's Deputy Commander for Officers, organized and provided leadership for the Wicomico Composite Squadron members that participated.

Unfortunately the day's work did not yield information helpful to the family and the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation.  Ms. Christine Sheddy, the missing woman's mother, expressed appreciation to the CAP for their efforts in an email to Lt Argentieri:

Please convey to all that participated in your group, my heartfelt appreciation for a job well done.  I can't tell you how many people commented on your professionalism.  I served in the Air Force ... and my father was a Chief Master Sergeant.   With that being said I felt a great deal of pride knowing that our country was in good hands just by observing your cadets.  Thank you for helping me in my time of need.

The thirteen CAP members on the search team were Maj Ken Thom, 1st David Argentieri, SM Debbie Kelley, SM Kevin Horner and Cadets Brandon Calhoun, Kevin Gravenor, Brent Horner, Zachary Jones, Cody Meadows, Zachary Mitchell, Jessica Moore, Ryan Murray and Luke Whittingon.
